GoPro Hero 3+ Launch Party

Music: Take You Higher (Club Mix)- Hook N Sling, Goodwill

GoPro recently launched their Hero 3+ and had a huge private party at Great America. The best part was catching all of our roller-coaster madness on my brand new GoPro! Here's a quick video I made using iMovie, showing the best rides of the day. This is my first video I've made, but I've been using GoPro cameras for the last two years. Each release has always shown huge improvements. I've been able to capture breathtaking shots from different sports/activities, as well as from exciting events like the Giant's World Series Champs Parade. It has always been a beautiful way to keep wonderful memories!

This awesome tiny piece of technology allows you to capture and share life's most exciting moments in a way you've never imagined. Originally it was popular with extreme sports, specifically with surfing and snowboarding. GoPro and their young creative team has increasingly shown all of the different ways you can utilize the camera. Their 2013 Super Bowl commercial featured a baby to a dub-step beat. They've also been participating in events with the NFL and MLB. Read more about GoPro and their CEO, Nick Woodman, here.

The new action camera features:

  • Video resolutions up to 4K
  • 12MP photos up to 30 frames per second
  • Built-in Wi-Fi
  • SuperView and Auto Low Light modes
  • Waterproof to 131'/40m

What Do You Wear To A Football Game?

49er Fan

Thank goodness for fashion and sports, my favorite interests! I usually slap on a jersey, denim, and some converse. I wanted to dress up for my next game, so I started brainstorming on Polyvore. I came up with this comfy, yet chic outfit. Try rocking your teams colors next time you go to a game and you realize your jersey is at the cleaner's or something. I promise you'll get a few compliments. ;)

5 Reasons why LA is worth the trip

We always hear about the horrible LA traffic, pollution, etc. Well I recently took a trip to LA and decided to list the top 5 reasons I think its worth the visit. Despite its flaws, just like every other city, it has culture, taste, hidden treasures, and wonderful places to visit. Here are my top 5!

1) It's beautiful.

Buildings, palm trees, and the beach. Where else do you get that on the west coast?

2) Food.

LA is home to some of the best grubbing spots on the planet.

3) Free Entertainment.

We were cruising neat the Nokia center when someone came up to us and said, "Do you want tickets to see Jimmy Kimmel interview Kobe Bryant?" UMMM YES PLEASE.

4) Disneyland.

Nuff said.

5) Catalina Island

You get the best of both worlds. Escape the traffic and fast paced environment of LA by taking a ride only 22 miles away from the shore.

Urban Air Market - Hayes Valley

Last week I went to Urban Air Market in Hayes Valley for the first time. It featured over 150 independent fashion designers, but accessories definitely ran this party. There were so many options, so much originality, and we wouldn't be in San Francisco if this market wasn't full of cleverness. I didn't go looking for anything in specific, but I left with the perfect earrings made out of replicas of discontinued muni tokens and a new magical piece of art for my room. The next Urban Air Market event will take place on Oct 12th in the Lower Haight. It is a free event and there are a plenty of delicious food trucks to keep you busy munching! The best part about this event is that participating designers are selected based not only on their designs and quality, but their method of sustainability as well. It's always important to support events that are trying to help fashion go in the right direction. Check it out if you're free! At the very least, you get a nice day out in the city.

Introduction

Hey guys,

Welcome to Disorderly Cravings. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Keyla Ruiz. I'm a California girl living in the San Francisco Bay Area and a Business Marketing student at FIDM (graduating in March, wooohooooo!!!). I wanted to start a blog FOREVERRR ago, but school and work always kept me so busy that it was hard to commit. Now that graduation is approaching, I figured I would have more time. I also started to realize that I already document all of my cravings and adventures through photographs, so why not share the love? I named my blog Disorderly Cravings because I seriously have no self control when I become passionate about something. I like to believe in that cliche saying -- "when there's will, theres a way", and I truly live by that. Sometimes its kind of dangerous... either way, it's thrilling and fulfilling.

My future posts will include those inevitable cravings which usually have to do with fashion & food. Remember that I am a soon to be fresh graduate, so the budget isn't really there for as much wanderlust sharing as I would like. I will, however, post about about local events and adventures.

Below are some introduction pictures of myself and what I love. I look forward to sharing with you all!

And that's me in a nutshell.
